AMUMA SA BARANGAY

Deriued from the Cebuano word "Amuma" that means "to nourish, to take care of", the AMUMA sa Barangay program aims to strengthen the capability of barangays in geographically-isolated and disadvantaged areas in building and sustaining deuelopment-oriented and self-reliant communities for the benefit of vulnerable sectors especially women. The Department, in cLose collaboration with partner national government agencies, local government units, and non-government organizations, capacitates barangay governments in ensuring economic and livelihood security.
